Scott Birnbaum Scott Birnbaum
Co-founder and Director
Scott Birnbaum is the co-founder of Epok and served as the Executive VP of the company until October, 2006. As the EVP and co-founder, he was responsible for strategy and corporate development. Mr. Birnbaum currently serves as the investment manager for Red Sea Venture Partners, LLC, a company targeting investments in angel/early-stage consumer Internet companies. Mr. Birnbaum is a graduate of Georgetown University.

  Ambassador Edward Djerejian
Edward P. Djerejian is the Founding Director of the James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy at Rice University. Previously, he was a career Foreign Service Officer and served under eight United States Presidents, inter alia, as the United States Ambassador to Israel (1993-1994) under President Clinton, Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs under both Presidents G.H.W. Bush and President Clinton (1991-1993), Ambassador to Syria under President Reagan and G.H.W. Bush (1988-1991), and Special Assistant to the President and Deputy Press Secretary for Foreign Affairs at the White House under President Reagan (1985-1986). He served in the United States Army as a first Lieutenant in Korea and graduated from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service in 1960 and received an honorary doctorate in humanities from Georgetown in 1992 and a doctorate of laws, honoris causa, from Middlebury College in 2004.

  A. Richard Metzger, Jr.
Mr. Metzger is widely regarded as one of the most knowledgeable telecommunications lawyers in the country. He currently heads his firm's telecommunications practice and advises clients on a wide range of regulatory, antitrust and related issues. Mr. Metzger previously served as Chief of the Common Carrier Bureau at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and as the Bureau's Deputy Chief. Prior to joining the FCC, Mr. Metzger was a partner in the law firm of Rogers and Wells, resident in the Washington, D.C. office, where he represented clients in the telecommunications and other regulated industries. Mr. Metzger is a graduate of Williams College, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and Georgetown University Law Center. He is a member of the bars of the District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

  Louis L. Massaro
Mr. Massaro is a senior telecommunications industry executive having accrued over 34 years of experience in the various facets of operations, finance and strategy.   Mr. Massaro was with the Frontier Corporation for nearly 30 years. He stepped down in 1998 from his position at Frontier as Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Massaro also held the position senior Corporate Offficer at Frontier for approximately 10 years.  In addition to Epok Inc., Mr. Massaro also serves on the board of directors for Choice One Communications Inc.  Mr. Massaro has also been assisting a number of start-up ventures and has provided consultative services to equity capital firms seeking investments in telecommunications enterprises. Mr. Massaro graduated with a degree in Management Sciences and a MBA in the Executive Development Program, both at the University of Rochester.
